Terms of service

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of Velokai's website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Velokai ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

2. Service

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Acceptable use: do not abuse, reverse-engineer, scrape, or use the Service for illegal activity. We may suspend accounts that violate these limits.

3. Payment

Paid plans bill on the cadence chosen at signup (monthly or annual). Charges are non-refundable except where required by law. You authorize us to charge your payment method until you cancel.

We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after a pricing change constitutes acceptance.

4. Intellectual property

Velokai retains all rights to the Service and its underlying technology. You retain ownership of the data you upload or generate through the Service.

You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. Velokai is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms with reasonable notice (except in cases of fraud or security threats, where we may act immediately).

Upon termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy's retention schedule (30-day grace window for self-initiated deletions).

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Velokai is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
